OUR HISTORY

With a half-century history, KONTOVEROS has never ceased to improve and look constantly ahead. Some milestones of our Company:
  • 1968
    The passion and the knowledge is steping into another dimension when Emmanuel Kontoros, the founder, establishes a personal company based in Moschato, Attica. Subject of the company, import, processing and packing of fish from around the world.
  • 1980
    Since the beginning of the decade the company has been dynamically engaged in exports.
  • 1992
    The company is transformed into S.A. Love and perseverance in quality fish is the same.
  • 2001
    From historical sites in Moschato, the company is being transported to new and state-of-the-art infrastructure in Aspropyrgos, Attica.
  • 2008
    SIAL Paris - The first participation in an exhibition abroad and the first nomination for an innovation prize.
  • 2011
    KONTOVEROS, in cooperation with the University of Ioannina, develops the new flavor "KONTOVEROS Deli". With this product the University conquers the first place in the European Innovation Competition "ECOTROPHELIA 2011".
  • 2013
    KONTOVEROS begins a real revolution in seafood with innovative products series KONTOVEROS Deli.
  • 2014
    Boston Foods Exhibition. The big step in America with simultaneous appearance in Finalist Seafood Excellence.
  • 2016
    The company acquires the MSC / ASC certifications,first in the Greece, proving the interest in the environment and respect for marine life.
  • 2016
    GS1 DataBar's cutting-edge technology, which KONTOVEROS first applies in Greece and the Balkans, creates a new era in food management and consumer protection.
